Item Description
The winning bidder can bring up to 3 people (4 total) on an expedition to dig for clams under the guidance of veteran Cape Cod recreational shellfisherman Richard Banks. No experience necessary.
The group will spend a few hours in Yarmouth, Brewster or Wellfleet at low tide digging for cherrystones, little necks, quahogs, steamers and oysters for a yeld of about 10 quarts of shellfish total. Richard will prepare the smaller shellfish for eating right away, and, weather permitting, will cook some on the grill. Large shellfish will be kept by the winners, recommended for use in chowder or pasta dishes.
No equipment or license needed, Richard will supply it all. If redeemed for use in early spring, a pair of waders will keep you dry. Water socks are strongly recommended.
This trip is dependent on tides, along with Yarmouth/Brewster/Wellfleet rules and regulations. Can be redeemed for use any Wednesday, Thursday or Sunday depending on the tides, weather and time.
Bidder may be responsible for parking fees, depending on location and time of year.
