Item Description

Bid on a gorgeous Handmade 2-Piece Tagine Stoneware Bowl and Cover.

**Please note. Tagine needs to be heated slowly. Place in a cool oven, then heat to avoid damage.**

Jill Kaplan is a Potter with a studio in Sherman, Ct. She also works out of the UWS JCC Ceramics Studio. She designs unique, one of a kind wheel thrown and embellished wares. Her pieces reflect her previous careers as an Interior Designer, Chef and Caterer and are predominantly made of stoneware and are functional for serving and tabletop decor. Jill has taken classes at Anderson Ranch Art Center in Snowmass. Co., Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, Tenn., and at the JCC Manhattan since 2004. She has learned from workshops with Randy Johnston, Jan McKeechie, Lorna Meaden and Pete Pinell to name a few. Her work entails both throwing and hand building, slab work, and piping as well as the use of underglaze and overglaze transfers and various methods of adding texture to her designs. Jill sells some of her pieces at Sacred Grounds Coffee Roasters in Sherman Ct.

Auction winners will be responsible for all shipping costs, to be added at the auction end. Local pick-up at our school in New York City can be arranged.
